Summer Poem

We were learning how to use alliteration in our writing. Alliteration is when you write two or more words that start with the same letter.
That Was Summer!
I remember smelling the chemicals from pools

I remember tasting the salt from sandy beaches

I remember seeing the funny footprints at beaches on the sand

That was summer that summer was not a noisy normal summer

I remember feeling the bottom of pools under my feet

I remember hearing the crunchy leaves on the ground

That was summer I remember feeling the silly silky sweat on our bodies.

  2. Hi Cody, this is Tama a Year 6 student from St. Bernadette's school. I like your summer poem because I can make a clear image what you are talking about in my head. You have used all the senses in your writing and this makes it interesting to read. You did well with including alliteration into your poem. I am looking foreword to seeing your next presentation.
